Declaration types you can complete in the Trader Support Service
All declarations that you could complete in the outgoing service can also be completed in the new Trader Support Service. There are different ways to complete these depending on the declaration or process you need.

Self-service declaration journeys
You can complete the following declaration types on a self-service basis:
- entry summary declaration
- simplified frontier declaration
- Entry in Declarant's Records (EIDR)
- Internal Market Movement Information (IMMI)
- supplementary declaration
- full import declaration (called a standard declaration in the service, previously called a ‘Full Frontier Declaration’)
Integrated and standalone journeys
You can complete an entry summary declaration as an integrated journey with:
- a simplified frontier declaration
- Entry in Declarant's Records (EIDR)
- an IMMI
You can also submit each of these declarations as a standalone declaration.
Standalone customs declarations can be completed as pre-lodged or post-lodged declarations.
Consignment First
The new Trader Support Service supports Consignment First submission. This allows you to create the consignment and enter the goods information before transport details are available.
The haulier can then add the transport information later to complete the movement.
GMR automation
The new Trader Support Service supports goods movement reference (GMR) automation for integrated declaration journeys.
If you authorise the Trader Support Service to access your Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS) account, the service can automatically create and update the GMR using the declaration information you have submitted.
Support case process journeys
Some declaration types and processes are supported through the Trader Support Service support case process, rather than as self-service journeys.
This currently includes:
- transit declarations
- inventory claims and their associated import declarations
- export declarations
- GB safety and security declarations
For these journeys, you will need to create a support case and provide the information needed for the Trader Support Service to complete the relevant process on your behalf.
